14k Gold, Diamond
Old European Cut Diamond
This is a stunner of an engagement ring, and has already truly stood the test of time. This solitaire made around 1920 with a beautiful stone set in a hexagonal prong setting. It has an intricate filigree of forget-me-nots around the elevated diamond setting with delicate, mill grained chevrons running down the shoulders. It tapers into a clean thin shank and would nicely stack with a wedding band.
A gorgeous and unique ring that combines the geometry of Art Deco with the organic style of Art Noveau. Unusual to have yellow gold in this era; so it is likely that it was a custom made ring.
